Advertising featured Al Roker as the spokesperson and ran on TV and radio. In addition, ads ran on a broad spectrum of mediums, including in-store merchandise, out-of-home, print advertising, email, direct mail, and online advertising at YouTube.com, Facebook.com, and OfficeDepot.com.

Consumer Value:
100 consumers per day instantly won a $100 Office Depot gift card. The remaining participants received special mobile coupons to save on a variety of back to school essentials.
How it worked:
After consumers activated one of the SnapTags, they replied with their birthday and state location and instantly found out if they had won a $100 gift card. Whether consumers were using the $100 gift card or a mobile coupon they received through the program, consumers simply had to show their phones at check out to spend their winnings or claim their discount.
Results:
Experienced a 30% increase in participation when it used an in-store SnapTag sweepstakes compared to the receipt driven campaign used the year prior.
