Marketer Value: SnapTags allowed Nike Lacrosse to engage consumers, entice them with free gear, and drive consumers to the Nike event booth where Nike could interact and build a relationship with them.
Consumer Value: Consumers got the chance to score exclusive Nike gear, and a chance to share their experience with their social networks.
How it Worked: The SnapTags were printed on posters and t-shirts. Consumers could snap a picture of the SnapTag and text it to the provided phone number/email address to receive a Nike “Badge”, along with the ability to “Like” Nike Lacrosse on Facebook and share the experience with their social community. Consumers could then score a limited-edition t-shirt by visiting the booth and showing their badge!
